What is beauty? Is it physical, does it go beyond skin? Is it something of the spirit, or the heart? Perhaps it is all of these. Everyone has their own idea of beauty, and mine goes deeper than skin because it must.
All my life I have seen what we call auras, color and light that surround people. I see these colors, and by hue and tone and shade, I understand emotion, truth, and the state of the soul. I have seen those most would call beautiful, with hearts full of darkness, auras full of nightmares and stains of blood. With vision like this, you learn quickly that you must always look deeper, until you find the truth.
Truth is a strange thing, and I find it beautiful even if it is not always what most would consider 'pretty'. I appreciate it because it is real. Because what one sees when the illusions that are cast over the world are stripped away, may not be particularly pleasant, but it is honest.
