Several years after the events of "The Phantom Menace", Darth Sidious returns to Naboo to exact revenge upon those who caused the death of his apprentice, Darth Maul. It falls to Naboo's Queen Amidala, Senator Palpatine, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Captain Panaka, and one crippled handmaiden to put a stop to Sidious' plans.
